Maya Bauer

Maya Bauer is a Pilates teacher and Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist, with over 25 years’ experience in the NHS and private sector. In her many years working as a physiotherapist, Maya has witnessed the beneficial effects of Pilates exercises when taught to patients with low back pain. After experiencing the excruciating pain of a slipped disc in her neck she took up regular Pilates lessons herself and noticed that not only did her neck pain clear but so did the longstanding niggles of pain in the rest of her body. It was this dramatic transformation that inspired her to train as a Body Control Pilates teacher, bringing the benefits of regular Pilates sessions to others.

Beverley Stephens

Beverley Stephens originally trained as a physiotherapist in 1996 and later completed her MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. While working with clients with movement dysfunction she developed a keen interest in Pilates and went on to train as a Body Control Pilates instructor in 2002. She has been teaching 1-1 private sessions and classes ever since to clients with musculoskeletal conditions as well as those who are fit and well.
